About Nika Foundation

13 years helping homeless animals

The "Nika" charitable foundation for homeless animals began its work in 2011, providing targeted aid to an abandoned shelter in Zelenograd. Over the years, we've grown into an organization with sustainable and systematic activities.

Today, thanks to the support of caring individuals, we help thousands of cats and dogs without homes, food, or human care, including at our own shelters which house over 800 animals.

Regional Support

This program aims to establish a system of regular aid for underfunded shelters and volunteers across the regions.

Emergency Aid

We support animals in critical condition—such as infections, cancer, or injuries from abuse—by covering veterinary costs through voluntary donations.

All rescued animals remain under the foundation’s care until they are fully rehabilitated and adopted into permanent homes.

Awareness

This program focuses on engaging supporters and raising public awareness about the plight of stray animals.

Subsidized Sterilization “Smart Care”

A real opportunity not only to address the issue of stray animals but also to prevent unwanted breeding of pets among low-income families.
